Recitals

SATURDAY LUNCHTIME RECITALS

Are held at Holy Trinity Church, Market Gate in the centre of Warrington. These recitals are arranged in groups of 4 to 6 weeks throughout the year and start at 12.30pm for approximately 45 minutes.

WACIDOM started arranging free lunchtime recitals on a regular basis in 2000. That year there were 5 recitals, with 14 recitals the following year.

Since then, it has arranged between 20 and 22 recitals per year and built up a regular audience. Initially around 20 to 25 attended, but now we regularly have an audience numbering at least 40 and sometimes up to 80.

The recitals benefit the musicians by giving them a platform, and the audience by providing a high quality product with easy access in the centre of Warrington.
The recitals have been funded by a grant from Arts Council England and by voluntary donations, but, of course, to maintain them into the future will require further funding.

With that in mind, WACIDOM continually looks for sponsorship to safeguard the recitals into the future.
